As I've become more comfortable with illustrating and have begun to find a style, I've found that I like blurring the line between drawing with shapes and drawing by hand. This is a coffee company I invented for class that is based on the traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony. It is intended to be a small business based in Kansas City that focuses on the personal in-store experience and bringing people together. I used hand drawn type and illustration for the logo which was inspired by the stacked patterns on Ethiopian coffee cups and clothing. Below are a few examples of in-store and to-go packaging concepts.
